John Dingell

John David Dingell, Jr. ( born July 8, 1926 in Colorado Springs, Colorado) is an American politician of the Democratic Party. He is since 1955 member of the House of Representatives of the United States and upholds the congressional district 15 of Michigan.

Life

Dingell studied at Georgetown University in Washington, where he received his bachelor's degree in 1949 and 1952, his JD from the Law School of the University.

He is married to Deborah Dingell.

Political career

In 1955 he was elected in a by-election in the House of Representatives. The by-election was made ​​necessary by the death of his father, Rep. John D. Dingell.
