John Eatton Le Conte

John Eatton Le Conte, Jr. (* February 22, 1784 in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, † November 21, 1860 in Philadelphia, John LeConte or John Eaton Leconte Eatton ) was an American naturalist. His botanical author abbreviation is " Leconte "; earlier was also the abbreviation " Le Conte " in use.

His son was the entomologist John Lawrence Le Conte ( 1825-1883 ).
