John Erskine (ice hockey)

John Erskine ( born June 26, 1980 in Kingston, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who plays for the Washington Capitals in the National Hockey League since 2006.

Career

The 1.93 m tall defender started his career with the London Knights in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League before he was selected by the Dallas Stars in the NHL Entry Draft in 1998 as 39th in the second round.

First played the Links shooter to the Max Kaminsky Trophy won in 2000 as best defender of the OHL, with the Utah Grizzlies of the International Hockey League and later American Hockey League farm team of the stars, in the 2001/ 02 season Erskine finally made ​​his NHL debut for Dallas.
