John Flanagan (author)

John Anthony Flanagan ( May 22nd 1944) is an Australian YA author.

Life

Before Flanagan for his son wrote his first book, he worked as a copywriter and screenwriter. His only works are the The Chronicles of Araluen. These conquered the bestseller lists in Australia and also met in Germany to positive reviews. Flanagan wrote these books originally to bring his 12 - year-old son to read.

The novel series revolves around the orphan boy Will, who attend training at the Ranger Walt. Together they fight and cheat through the first three volumes. In the fifth volume Will has completed his training as a Ranger, but the 7 band takes up again back until about 3 months before Will's apprenticeship and his admission as a full ranger to show can be such a life as difficult. In the seventh volume he is for the first time really on your own, without Walt, who irons out his mistakes. But in the other volumes of his friends Walt, Horace and his pony shredders are back at his side.
