John Hansen (footballer born 1924)

John Hansen ( born July 27, 1924 in Frederiksberg, † 12 January 1990 ) was a Danish footballer. John Hansen was one of the first world-class player of Danish football.

He began his career in 1943 at BK Frem København. After the Second World War he took for Denmark at the football competition of the London Olympic Games in 1948 in part, and won the bronze medal with the team. In Highbury Stadium, he scored in the quarter final of the competition against Italy four goals for his country, the game ended in a 5-3 win for Denmark. Overall, he completed eight caps for the Danish selection and met ten times into the opposing goal. Also, the attacker played a game for the Danish U -21 and proved particularly successful with one hit.

Also in 1948 joined the center-forward in the Italian Serie A Juventus and won in 1950 the first Italian Championship for Juve after the war. In 1952 he was able to repeat this success. He played until 1954 and then moved to Juventus for one season at Lazio. Overall, Hansen played 214 games in Serie A, scoring 139 hits. Then he returned to his home and ended his career in 1960 again with BK Frem København.
