John Hargreaves (actor)
John William Hargreaves ( born November 28, 1945 in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, Australia, † January 8, 1996 ) was an especially well-known in his native Australian actor.
Life
Hargreaves was one of the best known in Australia and partly also the most popular actors of his guild. In particular, his renunciation of an international career in favor of local notoriety made him popular. Unlike his compatriots Bryan Brown, Mel Gibson, Nicole Kidman, and the New Zealander Sam Neill he struck out activities in the U.S. and moved to starring roles in Australian film and television productions, where he established over the years in the acting elite.
At the height of his career, it was announced that Hargreaves is suffering from the immunodeficiency AIDS, the consequences of which he also died in 1996.
