John Howard Davies

John Howard Davies ( born March 9, 1939 in London, England; † August 22, 2011 in Blewbury, Oxfordshire ) was a British actor, television director and producer.

Life

John Howard Davies father was the scriptwriter Jack Davies ( 1913-1994 ).

Davies played, among other things, directed by David Lean in 1948, the title role in Oliver Twist on the side of Alec Guinness.

Most recently, he worked as a producer and produced many episodes of the series Mr. Bean and Monty Python's Flying Circus. Davies was nominated seven times for the BAFTA TV Award, 1976, he was awarded with this.

John Howard Davies died at the age of 72 years from the effects of cancer on August 22, 2011 in Blewbury, Oxfordshire, England.
