John II, Count Palatine of Simmern

John II of simmering ( born March 21, 1492 simmering, † May 18 1557 in simmering ) was Count Palatine and Duke of simmering.

Life

Johann was the son of the Count Palatine and Duke John I of simmering (1459-1509) from his marriage to Johanna (1464-1521), daughter of Count Johann II of Nassau- Saarbrücken. After the death of his first wife married Johann ( after 19 years of widowhood ) the einundreissigjährige Mary Jacqueline ( 1525-1575 ), daughter of Count Louis XV. von Oettingen. This marriage remained childless.
