John II, Duke of Bavaria

John II of Bavaria (c. 1341, † 14 June to 17 July 1397 ) was since 1375 Duke of Bavaria. He was the youngest son of Duke Stephen II and Elizabeth of Sicily.

Life

From 1375 to 1392 Johann ruled jointly with his brothers Stephen III. and Friedrich, until his death in 1378 with his peers about Uncle Otto. He was responsible for the Upper Bavarian part of the Duchy together with Stephan, while Frederick and, initially, Otto Lower Bavaria managed.
