John Irvin
John Irvin ( born May 7, 1940 in Newcastle upon Tyne ) is a British film director.
Career
He began his career as a director Irvin of documentaries in the late 1960s. So he turned about Mafia No! in 1967, for which he was nominated for Best Short film for a British Film Academy Award in the category. The mid-1970s, he directed a number of TV movies. In 1981, he filmed the novel The Dogs of War by Frederick Forsyth.
