John IX of Salm-Kyrburg-Mörchingen

Johann IX. of Salm- Kyrburg - Mörchingen (* 1575, † 1623) was wild and Rheingraf to Kyrburg and Count of Salm. He was the son of Otto I (1538-1607), and Ottilie von Nassau- Weilburg ( 1546 - 1610 ). Many of his relatives served as soldiers in the Swedish services, as well as his brother John Casimir of Salm- Kyrburg ( 1577-1651 ). The family was therefore during the Thirty Years' War, often on the run.

Family

He had been married about 1593 Anna Catherine of Criechingen († 1638). The couple had the following children:
