John Keel

John A. Keel (born Alva John Kiehle; born March 25, 1930 in Hornell, New York, † July 3, 2009 in New York City ) was an American author and journalist who mainly dealt with paranormal phenomena.

Life

Keel published in 1957 his first book, Jadoo, which is based on a trip to India and engaged in the mysteries of the local fakirs. Since the mid-1960s, he worked on UFOs and published in 1970 UFOs: Operation Trojan Horse. He relied on his UFO investigations on Charles Fort

1975 The Mothman Prophecies was released, which was filmed in 2002 under the title The Mothman Prophecies. In him Keel describes the events that zustießen him as he dealt with the so-called Mothman, a legendary winged creature that to have been seen in the U.S. in several states, especially in the years 1966 and 1967.

Keel died in 2009 in a New York hospital the consequences of a failure.
