John Klingberg

John Klingberg (born 14 August 1992 Lerum ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who stands since 2011 for the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League under contract and since 2013, his hometown club, the Frölunda HC is borrowed. His older brother Carl is also a professional hockey player.

Career

John Klingberg began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of the Frölunda HC, for the first team, he made ​​his debut in the Elitserien, the highest Swedish league was in season 2010/11. In his rookie year, the defenders prepared in 26 games before five goals. In parallel, he came in his first season in professional hockey as Players out on loan to seven inserts for Borås HC HockeyAllsvenskan, the Swedish second division, scoring a goal. In pre-season he was also responsible for Frölunda in five games of the European Trophy on the ice and prepared it before two goals.

In April 2011, Klingberg signed a one-year contract with Jokerit Helsinki SM- liiga of Finland. A few weeks later, he was endowed by the Dallas Stars, who had drafted him in 2010, with an initial three-year contract term. He was then hired by the Stars for the 2011/12 season to Jokerit. This loan was terminated in January 2012 and Klingberg sent instead to Skellefteå AIK, with whom he won the 2013 Swedish Championship. After this success, he was for the 2013/14 season at his hometown club, the Frölunda HC borrowed.

Internationally

For Sweden Klingberg took part in the U20 World Youth Championship 2011. During the tournament in six games, he scored a goal and an assist each.
