John Lauridsen

John Mikkelsen Lauridsen ( born April 2, 1959 in Ribe ) is a former Danish football player.

Career

Lauridsen began his career with Esbjerg fB. In his first season with Esbjerg he won the Danish championship. In 1982 he moved to Spain to Espanyol. He reached with Espanyol 1988, the UEFA Cup final, where they lost against Bayer 04 Leverkusen. In the time in Barcelona and the appointment in the Danish squad for the 1984 European Championship in France falls. Lauridsen was used twice and even scored a goal. Denmark was eliminated in the semifinals. In 1988 he moved on to CD Málaga. After eight years on the Iberian Peninsula, the midfielder came in 1990 returned to his native Denmark and even played two seasons with Esbjerg fB.

Internationally, he ran 27 times for the Danish selection, scoring three goals.
