John Laurinaitis

John Laurinaitis ( born July 31, 1965 in San Bernardino, California ) is a former American professional wrestler, who is currently under contract with WWE.

Laurinaitis ' brother Joseph was also a wrestler and was known by his ring name Road Warrior Animal as a part of the Road Warriors Tag Teams. His nephew James plays with the St. Louis Rams in the NFL American Football.

Career

Active Wrestling

Laurinaitis began his career in the National Wrestling Alliance, where he debuted in 1986 under the name Johnny Ace. In 1988 he also appeared in Japan in All Japan Pro Wrestling. There he took part with the wrestler Dan Spivey at the Real World Tag League. In 1989 he returned to the U.S. and joined him to participate in the NWA World Championship Wrestling. There he made ​​with the late Shane Douglas the Tag Team The Dynamic Dudes. This Laurinaitis won the NWA Florida Tag Team Championship twice in 1989. In 1990 he returned to Japan to AJPW. 1990 and 1991 together with Kenta Kobashi won Laurinaitis twice the AJPW All Asia Tag Team Championship. In 1993 he joined two times in WCW, which had in the meantime left the NWA.

In 1996, Laurinaitis won Tag Team Championship with Steve Williams AJPW World. From 1997 to 1999, he won the title three more times ( twice with Kenta Kobashi and once with Mike Barton ). On 9 June 2000 Laurinaitis ended his active career, returned in 2004 but returned for a match at Ohio Valley Wrestling.

Time after the active wrestling

After Laurinaitis 2000 had ended his active career, he was obliged in the same year as a booker in WCW. After the end of WCW in 2001, Laurinaitis was taken over by the then WWF. There he was, however, not used as Booker, but as a road agent. In 2004, he succeeds by Jim Ross as Vice President of Talent Relations department and was until June 2012 head of this department before he was to hand these duties to Paul Levesque.

Since 17 September 2011, the Money in the Bank PPV in WWE, he can be seen regularly in the WWE TV. He was from the October 10, 2011 Interim General Manager of RAW.
