John LeClair

John Clark LeClair ( born July 5, 1969 in St. Albans, Vermont ) is a retired American professional ice hockey player who played during his active career, among other things for the Montreal Canadiens, Philadelphia Flyers and Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League.

Career

John LeClair was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1987 by the Montreal Canadiens in the second round at position 33. In the summer of 1987 he began his studies at the University of Vermont, where he also played ice hockey team. During the 1990/91 season LeClair completed his studies and graduated a few games in the National Hockey League for the Montreal Canadiens.

From the autumn of 1991, the Americans belonged to the solid cadre of Habs and won with them in the 1992/93 season the Stanley Cup. LeClair himself was the one in extra time scored the winning goal in the decisive match. During the 1994/95 season he was transferred to the Philadelphia Flyers.

In Philadelphia, he was a left winger for the " Legion of Doom Line" by Eric Lindros and Mikael Renberg as center as a right winger.
