John Linnell

John Linnell ( born June 12, 1959 in New York City ), full name John Sidney Linnell, is an American musician. He often appears under a different name (for example, Johnny Hart or John Sid ).

Work

Linnell forms, with John Flansburgh, the band They Might Be Giants. Linnell is often referred to as the introverted John called.

Prior to the establishment of They Might Be Giants, he played in the early eighties for a very short time with the band "The mundane " and "The Bags ".

In a bike race in 1996 he suffered a compound fracture of his right hand, which forced the band They Might Be Giants to pause for almost two years. About this accident later, he also wrote a song ( "South Carolina " ), who 's only been on his solo album ( "State Songs" ) was released.
