John Malone

John Malone ( born March 7, 1941 in Milford, Connecticut) is an American businessman and publisher.

Life

Malon studied at Yale University, at New York University and the Johns Hopkins University. From 1973 to 1996 Malone President of cable heel Hunter company Tele-Communications Inc. John Malone was holding over the media company Liberty Media, whose president he is, a greater proportion of 32 percent of the media company News Corporation, but only around half of these shares is entitled to vote. Nevertheless, it is reported, Rupert Murdoch was to worried about losing control of his business. The next largest shareholder is the Saudi Arabian Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud. His Kingdom Holding holds 2005 seven percent of the shares.

Malone is married and has two children. He lives with his family in Parker, Colorado. According to the American Forbes Magazine Malone is one of the wealthiest Americans, and is listed in The World's Billionaires. He is a private person of the largest landowners in the United States and owns land in the states of Maine, Maryland, New Mexico, Colorado and Wyoming.
