John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers

John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers were an early British blues band in playing such well-known musicians such as Eric Clapton ( Cream ), Peter Green ( Fleetwood Mac), Mick Taylor ( Rolling Stones), Don " Sugarcane " Harris, John McVie ( Fleetwood Mac) Mick Fleetwood ( Fleetwood Mac), Harvey Mandel, Larry Taylor ( Canned Heat ), Jack Bruce ( Cream ), Walter Trout, Aynsley Dunbar, Keef Hartley, Dick Heckstall -Smith, Andy Fraser (Free), Micky Waller, Johnny almond and Jon Mark.

The Bluesbreakers were founded in 1962 by John Mayall, Alexis Korner had encouraged him to do so. The cast changed continuously. Eric Clapton in 1965 came to after he left the Yardbirds in order to devote himself more to the blues. In 1965 the single I'm Your Witchdoctor, 1966 followed by the album Bluesbreakers, a Top Ten success in England.

In the same year Eric Clapton and Jack Bruce left the Bluesbreakers and Cream founded. Clapton was replaced by Peter Green. He played on the album A Hard Road, after which he left the Bluesbreakers behind and Fleetwood Mac was formed. 1969 went with Mick Taylor, the third guitar virtuoso, who had become successful in the Bluesbreakers. Taylor joined the Rolling Stones in itself. In the late 1960s had the Bluesbreakers some success in America with Harvey Mandel on guitar and Larry Taylor on bass, both of Canned Heat.

John Mayall 1970 gathered once again many of the musicians who had started from the Bluesbreakers from her career and took the much acclaimed album "Back To The Roots " with them.

In 1982, a great blues concert held in which participated many famous black blues musician John Mayall 's Bluesbreakers acted as host and companion.

2003 met again almost all former Bluesbreakers anlässlig to the 70th birthday of John Mayall to give a big concert.

The Bluesbreakers are one of the most durable formations, they exist since 1962 without a break, while the only founding member John Mayall even today.
