John McGeoch

John Alexander McGeoch ( born August 25, 1955 in Greenock, † 4 March 2004) was Scottish guitarist.

He played guitar for Magazine, Visage, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Armoury Show and Public Image Ltd.. (also known as PIL). His guitar style defined the sound of Siouxsie and the Banshees new, he played with the band some of their best albums in. Later he got out of the music industry and ended mid-1990s, his training as a nurse, but did not pursue the profession, but turned back to the music. Among others, he composed music for British television. The mid-1990s he founded along with John Keeble ( Spandau Ballet) and Clive Farrington temporarily a new band called Pacific, but broke up again without any publications.

John McGeoch died on 4 March 2004 in his sleep, leaving his wife Sophie and daughter Emily.
