John Meredyth Lucas

John Meredyth Lucas ( May 1, 1919 *, † October 19, 2002 in Newport Beach, California, USA) was an American screenwriter, film director and film producer.

The son of the author Bess Meredyth and actor Wilfred Lucas was especially active as a screenwriter, including for the television series Ben Casey, Star Trek, The Fugitive, Mannix and Kojak - Kojak.

In addition, Lucas has directed episodes of the series Ben Casey, Star Trek, The Invaders and Planet of the Apes director.

John Meredyth Lucas, who is not related to George Lucas, died of leukemia.
