John-Michael Liles

John -Michael Liles ( born November 25, 1980 in Indianapolis, Indiana ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is since January 2014 with the Carolina Hurricanes in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

John -Michael Liles played in his time at the high school for the Culver Academy Eagles in the high school state championship Indiana. 1997 he moved to the U.S. National Team Development Program. Here he played in various junior leagues.

From 1999 to 2003 Liles graduated from Michigan State University. In the Michigan State Spartans called Hockey Team, he was for four years the best defender. Liles played its first match at the World Cup of Hockey 2004 for the U.S. national team at senior level. At the Ice Hockey World Championship for Men 2005, he was sixth with Team USA. He also belonged to the squad of the United States at the Olympic Winter Games 2006 in Turin.
