John Moore (ice hockey)

John Moore ( born November 19, 1990 in Winnetka, Illinois ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is since April 2013 in the New York Rangers in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

John Moore began his career as a hockey player for the Chicago Steel, for which he was active from 2007 to 2009 in the U.S. Junior League United States Hockey League. In the 2008 /09 season he was nominated for the All-Star Game the league and team selected the best defender of the year in the league and their first All-Star. Then the defender in the NHL Entry Draft, was selected in 2009 in the first round than a total of 21 players from the Columbus Blue Jackets. First, however, he played one year in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League for the Kitchener Rangers and participated in the 2009/10 season at the All-Star Game the league.

For the 2010/11 season Moore was ordered by the Columbus Blue Jackets to their farm team Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League. For the Falcons, he was able to convince scorer with 24 points, including five goals in 73 games, after which he was allowed to take part in the AHL All-Star Classic. In addition, he played for Columbus his first two games in the National Hockey League, where he remained point - and unpunished. For the Trade Deadline on April 3, 2013, was transferred to the New York Rangers.
