John O. Bennett

John O. Bennett III ( born August 6 1948) is an American politician ( Republican).

As President of the Senate of New Jersey, he served in January 2002 for three and a half days as governor after Governor Christine Todd Whitman resigned and the tenure of the previous Senate President Donald DiFrancesco had expired.

They later accused him to have during these three days controversial pardons pronounced and at the instigation of his wife, a committee on Health Care ( Nursing Advisory Council ) to have set up.

Then he was not re-elected in the 2003 elections.
