John Oates

John Oates ( born April 7, 1949 in New York City ) is an American singer and producer. It belongs next to Daryl Hall for pop music duo Hall & Oates.

Career

In 1966, John Oates joined the band The Masters. As students of Temple University Daryl Hall and John Oates met in 1967 know at performances of their bands in the Adelphi Ballroom in Philadelphia. Later, John Oates decided first against the music career, left the University in Philadelphia and lived about a year in Europe. As Oates returned to Philadelphia, he joined in December 1970, Daryl Hall live together and founded with him the duo Hall & Oates. On 6 March 1972, she signed her first recording contract with Atlantic and released in October their first album Whole Oats. In 1974, she was with She's Gone first time on the U.S. charts place (# 60). The real breakthrough came in Hall & Oates, as they with the album Voices began to produce their own music in 1980.

John Oates ' first project as a producer without Daryl Hall in 1987 was the album Small Victories of the Canadian band The Parachute Club. In 1996 he was involved in the making of the album The Peacemaker by Jerry Lynn Williams. In 2004 he was heard on the album White People of Handsome boy Modeling School.
