John of Capua

John of Capua, and Giovanni da Capua (* around 1250 in Capua; † around 1310 in Rome ) was a convert to Christianity Jewish author of the 13th century.

Life

It occurred mainly as a translator from Hebrew into Latin out. So he translated eg 1262-1278 the fable Kalila and Dimna book into Latin Humanae vitae Directorium alias Parabolae antiquorum sapientium ( German by Anthony of Pforr: Examples of the old ways, pressure to 1482 ).
