John Paine (sport shooter)

John Bryant Paine ( born April 8, 1870 in Boston; † August 2, 1951 in Weston, Massachusetts) was an American sport shooter.

I. The modern Olympic Games in Athens in 1896 he won the competition with the service revolver from his brother Sumner.

The father of John and Sumner Paine was General Charles Jackson Paine, who won in 1885, 1886 and 1887 the America 's Cup. Lieutenant John Paine fought in 1898 in the Spanish -American War. Later he became a wealthy investment banker.
