John Parco

John Parco ( born August 25, 1971 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario ) is a former Italian- Canadian professional ice hockey player and current coach, who played in his time from 1988 to 2011 including for the ESV Kaufbeuren in the German Ice Hockey League. He currently coaches Asiago

Career

John Parco began his career as a hockey player for the Belleville Bulls, where he was active from 1988 to 1991 in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League. He was then in the twelfth round selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1991 as a total of 248 players from the Philadelphia Flyers, for whom he never played, however. Instead, he ran from 1991 to 1993 for Asiago in the Italian Serie A1. After a year's break from the ice hockey winger occurred in the 1994/95 season for the Hampton Roads Admirals in the ECHL and was elected to the first All -Star team in the league. In parallel, he played several games for the San Diego Gulls of the International Hockey League and the Saint John Flames of the American Hockey League. For the season 1995 /96 Italo - Canadians returned again to Asiago in the Serie A1 back. In the season 1996/97 he stood for the ESV Kaufbeuren of the German Ice Hockey League on the ice. There he also began the following season, before he moved to the following year and a half to the Ayr Scottish Eagles of the British Ice Hockey Super League during the season.

In the season 1999/2000 Parco stormed on in the ECHL for his former club Hampton Roads Admirals. For the following season, he was obliged by the Cardiff Devils Ice Hockey from the Super League. Finally, the Italo - Canadians ran from 2001 to 2011 for his original club Asiago in Italy. With the team he was in season 2009/10 Italian Champion. There he was briefly player-coach already during the 2004/ 05 season. The 2011/12 season he began as an assistant coach at Asiago, before he was promoted as a replacement for John Tucker head coach in February 2012.

Internationally

For Italy Parco adopted the B World Championships in 2003, 2005 and 2009 and the A World Championships in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2010. Moreover, he represented Italy at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin.
