John Phillip Law

John Phillip Law (* September 7, 1937 in Hollywood, California, † 13 May, 2008 Los Angeles, California ) was an American film actor.

Life

John Phillip Law's acting career began in the 1950s as an extra. From 1962 was Law who spoke alongside English fluently Italian, Spanish, French and German, to see in smaller film roles. The first extensive appearance of tall, blond and equipped with remarkable blue eyes actor was in The Russians Are Coming! The Russians are coming! place alongside Carl Reiner and Alan Arkin, for which he was nominated in 1966 as Best Young Actor of the Year for a Golden Globe Award. He then starred with Lee van Cleef starring in Spaghetti Western The bill is paid with lead and the title role in Danger: Diabolik! .

His best-known film he shot in 1968 when Pygar next to Jane Fonda in Barbarella. Another of his better known roles was that of the Red Baron Manfred von Richthofen in Roger Corman's film of the same from the year 1971. In 1973, the American- British fantasy-adventure film Sinbad followed dangerous adventure in which Law starred in the title role. In the following years he played mainly in Europe, but also repeatedly in the United States small to medium roles in film and television productions, including a guest role in the Austrian crime series SOKO Kitzbühel. He could neither build nor artistic in its meaning of earlier times.
