John R. Dilworth

John R. Dilworth, actually Jonathan Robert Dilworth ( born February 14, 1963 in New York City ) is an American animator, film director and screenwriter.

Life

Dilworth attended until 1985, the School of Visual Arts in New York and began then, at the advertising agency Baldi, Bloom and Whelan Advertising to work. Since his studies, he worked on his own animated films. In 1991 he founded his own design and animation studio Stretch Films and released in 1995 short animated film The Chicken From Outer Space, which for an Oscar in the category of Best Animated Short Film was nominated in 1996. For Cartoon Network Dilworth then designed a series that was based on the short film. The result was the animated series Courage the Cowardly Dog, resulted in the Dilworth Director, served as executive producer and was involved in the script. He has also created short films and series for Nickelodeon, PBS, MTV and HBO. In Chris Landreths short animated film tricks the subconscious mind from the year 2013 can be seen in Dilworth as a performer.

Dilworth also works as a lecturer in animation and taught, for example at New York University, the School of Visual Arts in New York City as well as on the Cape Fear Community College in North Carolina. Dilworth is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
