John Regis (athlete)
John Regis ( John Paul Lyndon Regis, born October 13, 1966 in Lewisham, Kent ) is a former British sprinter.
John Regis is 1,81 m tall and weighed in his playing days up to 94 kg. With this massive stature of the muscle-bound athlete was always clearly visible even in confused relay race for the spectators. His greatest successes came about 100 m and 200 m. In addition, he won both the 4 x 100 - meter relay as well as in the 4 x 400 meters relay with the British or English team medals. The English international footballer Cyrille Regis is his cousin.
Regis is athlete ambassador of development organization Right to Play.
