John Scott (ice hockey)

John Scott ( born September 26, 1982 in St. Catharines, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since July 2012 when the Buffalo Sabres in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

John Scott began his career as a hockey player for the Chicago Freeze, for the American Hockey League, he was active in the American Junior League North in the 2001/ 02 season. Then the defender played four years for the team of Michigan Technological University, before he received a contract with the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League on 26 September 2006 as a free agent. For this he gave in the 2006/07 season his debut in professional hockey, where he scored a goal in 65 games and had five assists. In December 2006 he was hired by Houston Partners Minnesota Wild.

Once again Scott came in the 2007/ 08 season exclusively in the AHL for the Aeros used, which links Sagittarius ran in the 2008/ 09 season, the first time in the National Hockey League for the Minnesota Wild. He was in 20 games a template. For the 2009/10 season, Scott was appointed to the NHL squad Minnesota, where he occupied a permanent place in defense.

On 27 February 2012 it transferred the Chicago Blackhawks, who had the defender committed in July 2010 as a free agent, in exchange for a fifth- round vote in the NHL Entry Draft in 2012 to the New York Rangers. On 1 July 2012, he signed as a free agent a one-year contract with the Buffalo Sabres.
