John Silver

John Silver ( born 1950 ) was the second drummer for the British rock band Genesis. He had the St Edward 's School in Oxford visited and replaced with Genesis in the summer of 1968 predecessor Chris Stewart. Together with Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford and Anthony Phillips, he recorded the album, From Genesis To Revelation, and is also heard on some Genesis pieces that exist only in demo form: Build Me a Mountain, Image Blown Out, The Magic of Time and Hey! (all on the fourth CD by Archive I - 1967 to 1975 ). In July 1969 Silver left the band to study in the U.S., and was replaced by John Mayhew.

Back in the homeland, who studied hotel manager was initially a TV producer for Granada, Reuters and Thames Television to eventually work in the IT field. He lives with his wife Lucy and three children in London and in 1998 was the only early drummer for the band, who was present at the Genesis meeting on the occasion of the publication of archives I.

Anthony Phillips wrote in his honor in 1969 the Silver Song, who joined the publication in 1986.
