John Treacy
John Treacy (born 4 June 1957 Villierstown in County Waterford ) is a former Irish long-distance runner and Olympic silver medalist.
In 1978 and 1979 he won gold at the World Cross Country Championships. On the train he set two national records over 3000m ( 7:48,0 last minute on June 9, 1979 in Berkeley ), three more than 5000 m ( last 13:16,81 min on 28 June 1984 in Oslo ) and two 10,000 m ( last 27:48,7 min in Brussels on 22 August 1980) on.
