John V, Margrave of Brandenburg-Salzwedel

John V. " the Illustrious " (Latin Illustris ), ( * 1302, † March 24, 1317 ) was since 1308 margrave ( co-ruler ) of Brandenburg.

His parents were Margrave Hermann " the tall one" of Brandenburg and Anne of Austria, daughter of the Roman king Albrecht I, Duke of Austria and King of Bohemia. John was with Catherine ( † 1327 ), daughter of Duke Henry III. married from Glogau and Sagan. With him went the line Salzwedel Ascanian.
