John van Buskirk

John van Buskirk ( born April 13, 1972 in Louisville, Kentucky) is an American football player and coach.

Career as a player

The striker played until 1995 in his hometown of Louisville Thoroughbreds and then moved to KFC Uerdingen 05 in the German Bundesliga. In his first season he came off only on a bet and the KFC rose. By 2000, the Americans completed 59 second division games in his last season due to an injury no one. Subsequently, Van Buskirk joined the sport wins friends in the Regionalliga Süd. After a season he packed 2004/2005 the shoes in the 2nd Bundesliga for FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt, he joined in summer 2005, Regional - Up Kickers Emden. After a season and 30 games the Americans ended his career.

Career as a coach

After he finished his playing career after the 2005/2006 season, van Buskirk was since the summer of 2006 assistant coach of Kickers Emden and was coach Marc Fascher aside. He replaced Michael Boris, who had to cut consumption for professional reasons and only worked as a goalkeeper coach. With the end of the Regionalliga season 2006/2007 he resigned as assistant coach and returned to the United States, where he began a coaching job at a football school.
