John Veron

John Edward Norwood Veron (* 1945) is an Australian marine biologist and taxonomist of major stony corals ( Scleractinia ). In his books, he has about a quarter of the known 4,000 species scientifically described. Veron was a long time director of the Australian Institute of Marine Science. To explain the speciation process in stone coral he theorizes the Networked evolution.
