John Vlissides

John Matthew Vlissides ( born August 2, 1961 † 24 November 2005) was a computer scientist who primarily as one of the four authors of the seminal book Design Patterns: (: Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software Design Patterns ) is known Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software been. The four authors of this book are nicknamed "Gang of Four " ( " Gang of Four ", " GoF ").

John Vlissides died at the age of 44 years to a brain tumor.
