Johnnie Allan

Johnnie Allan ( born March 10, 1938 in Rayne, Louisiana as John Allen Guillot ) is an American Cajun and rock 'n ' roll musician.

Allan was already in his teen years as a steel guitarist for the band from Lawrence Walker and founded after the Krazy Kats, along with pianist and fiddle player UJ Meaux. Since the late 1950s, Allan had some success with rock ' n' roll and R & B pieces. His biggest success was a Cajun version of Chuck Berry's Promised Land; However, he could never end up with a major record label.

Besides music, he went to work as a teacher; some time he was even elementary school principal.
