Johnnie Carr

Johnnie Rebecca Daniels Carr ( born January 26, 1911 in Alabama, † February 22, 2008 in Montgomery ( Alabama)) was an American civil rights activist.

Carr joined the black civil rights activist Rosa Parks, who was arrested on 1 December 1955 because they refused to make a white man on the bus. This led to the Montgomery Bus Boycott.

In 1967 it was held in place of Martin Luther King, president of the Montgomery Improvement Association and held this office until her death.
