Johnnie Parsons

Johnnie Parsons ( born July 4, 1918 in Los Angeles, † September 8, 1984 in Van Nuys, California ) was an American race car driver.

Career

He started ten times in the Indianapolis 500, his victory in 1950 helped him also in the list of winners of the Formula 1 World Championship, because this race from 1950 to 1960 belonged to the World Cup. More good rankings were a second place finish in 1949 and a fourth place in 1956. 1949 he was master of the AAA National Drivers Championship, the Vorvorgängerserie the Champ Car championship.
