Johnny Archer

Johnny Lee Archer ( born November 12, 1968 in Spring Hill, Florida) is an American professional pool player.

Career

He won in 1992 and 1999, the WPA World 9-Ball Championship in 1998 and made it again to the final, in which he, however, Kunihiko Takahashi defeated. Overall, he has now attracted more than 60 professional tournaments in his career, including the U.S. Open 9-Ball in 1999.

He also represented the USA at the Mosconi Cup seventeen times previously, most recently in 2013. His nickname in the pool scene is The Scorpion.

In 2009 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Billiard Congress of America.

Archer currently lives in Acworth, Georgia with his wife Melanie and two children.
