Johnny Carpenter

John Carpenter ( born June 25, 1914 in Debinsville, Arizona, † February 27, 2003 in Burbank, California ) was an American actor.

Carpenter, son of a farmer and butcher, attended the University of Arkansas, where a car accident prevented a career as a baseball player. After his rehabilitation, he worked for many years on the home ranch until he came at the beginning of the 1940s to Hollywood. There is first employed him as a stuntman and was seen from 1943 to 1950 on the side of numerous B- movie heroes.

1950 offered him a producer Jack Schwartz a contract that gave him larger roles; for television he worked. Sales between 1953 and 1956, he produced four written and co-produced by Carpenter Western with this in the title role; Carpenter thus became the last of the series Heroes. Then he turned back to the television. In 1970 he opened, professing Christian, the first Heaven on Earth Ranch, a western town, in which he invited disabled children. This activity he held until his death.
