Johnny Rockets

Johnny Rockets is an American hamburger restaurant chain, which is kept in the style of the American Diner in the 1950s. Retro decor elements such as chromium, red leather seats and posters will be used for this purpose. On 6 June 1986, the first Johnny Rockets restaurant in the Melrose Avenue was opened in Los Angeles, in 2007, the 200th restaurant in Glendale. The chain sold more than 13 million hamburgers per year.

The individual restaurants are run as franchises.

On each table is a small jukebox, through the means of five-cent pieces songs can be selected. The staff serves the guests at the table and the dishes are prepared only to order. The restaurant is also known for spontaneous song and dance routines of the staff, as well as for the famous smiley face out of ketchup on the fries.

In addition to hamburgers Milkshakes are a specialty.

The restaurant chain is also available in the shopping arcades of some cruise ships in the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line represented ( Voyager - class, Freedom class) and also operates in some amusement parks, such as Six Flags Magic Mountain, some smaller restaurants, but often only a limited offer selection of food.

On 21 September 2009, the first branch of Johnny Rockets has opened in Germany at the airport of the U.S. Air Force base in Ramstein. However, this is not accessible to the public.
