Johnny Thio

Johnny Donald thio ( born September 2, 1944 in Roeselare; † 4 August 2008) was a Belgian football player.

Career

Thios first clubs were FC Eendracht Hooglede and KFC Roeselare. From 1963 to 1975 he played for FC Bruges, with whom he was team captain as Belgian champion in 1973, 1968 and 1970 won the Belgian Cup.

Thio 293 inserts in the top division of Belgium, Jupiler League and 21 in the UEFA Cup. He graduated in the course of his career 18 games for the Belgian national team and was a participant at the taking place in their own country European Championship 1972. Following his playing career, he worked as a trainer at SV Zottegem, SK Gullegem and FC Roeselare.

He died at the age of 63 years to a heart attack.
