Johnny Weltz

Johnny Weltz ( born March 20, 1962 in Copenhagen) is a former Danish cyclist.

Sports career

Weltz operating as an amateur until 1986 road racing. He became internationally known with his second place finish at the Road Cycling World Championships 1985 in Italy. He won a second place also at the Danish amateur road championship, also won the amateur version of the French classic Paris -Tours.

In 1987, Weltz with a contract with the French cycling team Fagor MBK in the professional paddock. In his first professional start, the French Grand Prix La Marseillaise one-day races, he drove the first to cross the finish line.
