John Bach, also known as John Bach in Gesäuse, is a municipality with 141 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in Styria in the judicial district or county Lienzen. From 1 January 2015 it has joined forces framework of the Styrian municipality structural reform with the municipalities Hall, Admont and Weng im Gesäuse, the new community will be called " Admont ".

Geography

John Bach is located in and around the National Park Gesäuse in Liezen district in the Austrian state of Styria.

There are no other cadastral except John Bach.

History

The abolition of the manorial system was carried out in 1848., The local church as an autonomous body was established in 1850. After the annexation of Austria in 1938 the congregation to Reichsgau Styria came from 1945 to 1955 it was part of the British zone of occupation in Austria.
