The Group History
In 1883, Warren Seymour Johnson received a patent for the first electric room thermostat. From 1885 the house engineering company Johnson Electric Service Company developed in Milwaukee, USA.
The company was renamed in 1974 in Johnson Controls.

Automotive Experience
Johnson Controls has today as a manufacturer of automotive seating, interiors and electronics with over 250 locations in 125 countries. The European headquarters of the division automotive interiors is Burscheid.
Power Solutions
Johnson Controls represented as a manufacturer of starter batteries and batteries for hybrid vehicles in five countries. The European headquarters of the division batteries located in Hanover.
