Johnson County (Wyoming)
The Johnson County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wyoming. On 1 July 2005, the Johnson County had 7,721 inhabitants. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Buffalo.
Geography
The county has an area of 10,812 square kilometers, of which 22 square kilometers of water. It is bordered clockwise to the county: Campbell County, Converse County, Natrona County, Sheridan County, Washakie County and Big Horn County.

The county was founded in 1875.

According to the census of 2000, there were 7075 people in Johnson County. There were 2959 households and 2006 families. The population density was 1 people per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 97.03 % White, 0.08 % African American, 0.64 % Native American, 0.11 % Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander residents from the and 0.55 % from other races groups; 1.58% were descended from two or more races. 2.09% percent of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
Of the 2,959 households out of which 28.70% have children under the age of 18 living with them. 57.00 % were married couples living together, 7.10% percent were single mothers, 32.20 % were non-families. 28.50 % of all households and 12.00% had someone living alone at the age of 65 years or older. The average household size was 2.36 and the average family size was 2.89.
