Johnston is an American city in Rhode Iceland in Providence County. It is (partly main) seat of several insurance companies.
History
Johnston was officially founded on March 6, 1759 and named after General Johnston August.
Attractions
In Johnston, the Clemence Irons House is from 1691, a house in the so-called Stone - Ender - style where the chimney is a house wall. The Clemence Irons House is now a museum for this typical for Rhode Iceland design, since it is obtained as one of the few still in its original state.
Education
Johnston has a total of six schools, including four elementary schools, one middle school and one high school ( Johnston Senior High School). The Education Department has decided two of the primary schools to try to elementary school Graniteville and the Calef Elementary School closing soon.
